After a spiritual session or spiritual exercises, the sensations you experience may initially seem “negative” on the surface — but in truth, they are the footsteps of healing. These changes are the echoes of healing reverberating through both body and the spiritual realm. Sometimes they are short-lived; sometimes they can last for days. These signs are not ordinary experiences; they are powerful indicators that the spiritual system is being restructured, that old energies are being replaced by new ones.


Short-Term Effects

The most commonly felt changes after spiritual work are short-term effects. These can last from a few minutes to several hours, but don’t let their transience fool you. You may feel hot or cold sweats — this is related to the increase of energy circulation in the body. Tingling or numbness sensations often indicate that energy blockages have begun to dissolve.

After some sessions, sudden pains may appear in specific parts of the body. These are not alarming; they are the outward expressions of emotional burdens stored in those regions. A feeling of spiritual lightness suggests that some of these burdens have been released, that the person has undergone a partial purification.

In traditional therapies, the person relaxes during the session, but over time, everything returns to how it was. In spiritual healing, the process works in reverse: It contracts first, then relaxes. But this relief is not fleeting — it is lasting. Because spiritual healing reaches the roots, it dissolves inner constriction, and the healing takes place at a deep level.

Therefore, falling into despair during this stage is a serious mistake. On the contrary, you should feel joy when facing such challenges. Because that struggle is a transition phase. All that pressure and tightness you feel are signs that a profound sense of relief is coming. Just like the stillness that follows a storm, the spirit cannot reach true peace without first passing through its own storm.


Healing Doesn’t Always Arrive as Pleasant Sensation

One must remember: healing doesn’t always arrive with soft, peaceful, and positive feelings. On the contrary, healing is sometimes a painful process. This transformation, spreading from within, may leave temporary discomfort as it wipes away the traces of the past. That discomfort is the healing journey itself. The more repressed emotions and unresolved issues exist inside, the more intense the outward effects will be.

However, this intensity also determines the depth of the healing. The stronger the effect, the more powerful the healing. At the end of this process, the person becomes lighter from old burdens, emotionally relieved, and more spiritually balanced. For this reason, every symptom you experience should not be seen as a “negative” but as a step in the transformation.


The Calm After the Storm

Never underestimate what you feel after a spiritual session. Everything that happens in your body and spirit is meaningful. These effects may be short-term or long-term, but all are meant to bring you closer to a deeper, clearer sense of self. These feelings that constrict you, suffocate you, even frighten you at times, are expressions of the burdens you have held inside. No matter how much they squeeze you, the sense of relief and peace that comes after this process will be lasting.

Remember, spiritual healing first makes you confront the darkness — and only then shows you the light. And once that light rises, it does not fade easily.
